D_HiltyDaniel Hilty served in the United States Army from 1989 to 2009 on active duty. He served in 3rd Infantry Division, 4th Infantry Division, 82nd Airborne Division and 7th Special Forces Group (ABN). He served as Combat Engineer, Cavalry Scout, Special Forces Medical Sergeant, and Special Forces Operations Sergeant.

While in Special Forces he was assigned to 7th Special Forces Group (ABN) out of Ft Bragg, NC, but also served OCONUS with 3rd and 5th Special Forces Groups. Mr. Hilty has deployed and operated in Europe, South and Central America as well as the CENTCOM region for multiple deployments to include Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) and Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). Mr. Hilty has also worked with and as lead multiple Combined Joint Operations.

After retirement Mr. Hilty worked as an Intelligence Analyst then in 2012 formed Quiet Professional Solutions LLC to focus on Special Operations Forces requirement gaps combining Subject Matter Experts in Special Operations together with professional Engineering services. QPS LLC is headquartered in Penn Run, PA. Also in 2012 Dan and co-founder Mike Cooper, another career Special Forces operator, formed the Special Operations Forces Consortium or SOF-C. This consortium of unique and highly qualified small businesses focuses on collaboration and integration with academia and labs to provide rapid “best value” solutions to emerging Special Operations requirement gaps and supports the Whole of Government approach. SOF-C is located in both Indiana and Pennsylvania.

Mr. Hilty is also working with Penn State University as a Special Operations Subject Matter Expert (SOF-SME). Mr. Hilty works with multiple elements of Penn State to include the Electro Optics Center (EOC), Freeport, Pa., and the Applied Research Lab (ARL), State College, PA. Mr. Hilty holds a B.A. in Homeland Security from American Military University and currently in Grad school for National Security Studies with a focus on Terrorism at American Military University.
