RichardK_Photograph_ltGreenBKG (1)Mr. Krauland has a BA degree in Mathematics and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, 1976. He started in banking at Equibank in 1976 as a Senior Financial Analyst and a year later he was appointed manager of the Pricing and Profitability Reporting section. In 1978 he took over as Operations Manager for Equibank’s credit card department.

In 1982 Mr. Krauland moved to Mellon Bank as Manager of the Consumer Loan Administration Group. In 1984 he took in the duties of Systems Planning and Product Development for the largest branch banking system east of the Mississippi River.

In 1989, Mr. Krauland graduated first in his class in Mellon’s Credit Training program and began a new career direction as a commercial lender. In 1994 he became the Team Leader for Mellon’s Middle Market lending group covering Southwestern Pennsylvania.

In 1999, Mr. Krauland left Mellon to become the President and CEO of the largest credit union in the state of West Virginia. Six years later he returned to banking as President and CEO of Farmers National Bank of Kittanning. Farmers merged with Merchants Bank to form F&M Bank in 2008; and then merged with Nextier Bank in 2014. Mr. Krauland has served there as President and CEO since that time.

Mr. Krauland’s hobbies include golf and duplicate bridge. He is recognized as a “Life Master” by the American Contract Bridge League. He also serves on the Boards of: The Salvation Army, the Armstrong County Industrial Development Authority & Council, and the Kittanning Country Club, along with the Bank Board and the Bank Holding Company Board.
