Curriculum

The Introduction to Engineering curriculum utilizing the Sea Air and Land Challenge program is a one semester (18-week) detailed project based learning curriculum for 7th through 12th graders.

This curriculum was written in conjunction with the International Technology and Engineering Educators Association (ITEEA) and adheres to the Standards for Technology Engineering Literacy (STEL), Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and Common Core State Standards for Math (CCSS Math).  It also incorporates ITEEA’s 6E Learning byDeSIGN™ Instructional Model for maximizing informed design and inquiry in the Integrative STEM Classroom.  Information for optional Autodesk Inventor user certification, 3D printing industrial certification and soft-skills certification is included.

Each unit includes a day-to-day outline, supporting files, presentations, videos and resources.  The condensed 18-week outline is shown below.

This curriculum may be used as a stand-alone curriculum and is optional for use with the Sea Air and Land Challenge.    Please contact the Sea Air Land Group for the password to access to this no-cost curriculum.
