Structure teams and choose a challenge
Fundraise as needed
Student registration and pre Challenge surveys
Link with an engineering mentor

Spring Semester
Complete team formation and registrations
Begin research, brainstorming, conceptualization, design and equipment selection
Preliminary Design Review (PDR) due* for review (usu. 3-4 weeks after the start of the semester)
Critical Design Review (CDR) due for review (optional)
Order/obtain supplies
Team fabrication, coding and testing phase
Flight certification test* (~2 weeks prior to Challenge Day)
Permission slips due by Challenge Day
Challenge Day*
Final reports/Wrap up (optional)

Central PA at Penn State-Altoona will host Challenge Day on Thursday, April 21st, 2022
IU14 (Berks Co.) PA  will host Challenge Day at the Reading Public Museum on Thursday, April 27th, 2022
Southwestern PA at Seneca Valley HS in Harmony on Thursday, April 28th, 2022
South Central PA (IUs 12/13/15) will host Challenge Day at McCaskey HS in Lancaster on Wednesday, May 4th, 2022
Northern PA at Bradford HS in Bradford on Thursday, May 5th, 2022.
Eastern OH at Buckeye Local HS in Rayland on Friday, May 6th, 2022
Southeastern VA (Suffolk Public Schools) will host Challenge Day at Col. Fred Cherry MS on Saturday, May 14th, 2022
